For a number of personal reasons I no longer take fashion photographs. But I still find it
interesting and fruitful to view them. In a sense, these photographs are a representation of
a previous me whose ideals and desires were in a different place than they are currently.
But that doesn’t make them any less valid then, say, my current self-portrait series. In addition,
take this as an opportunity to attempt to unfold the model’s identity. In perhaps no other
situation is there such a diluted form of portraiture, but I still believe forms of identity can
be found in the following photographs—including my own. (For hints into the model's
identity, or at least their identity they want and are trying to present to the photographer,
look at their pose, their gaze, and their overall comfort level.)
